Sonographers, physicians, or other medical professional performing vascular duplex/color ultrasound examinations. Physician participants may include (but is not limited to) internal medicine, primary care, radiology, and vascular/general surgery.
Educational Objectives: After viewing this video presentation the participant should be able to:
Increase the participant’s knowledge to better perform and/or interpret ultrasound evaluation of the calf veins. Identify the deep veins in the calf. Perform standard duplex/color flow imaging scan protocols for evaluation of calf vein DVT. Recognize ultrasound characteristics associated with acute calf vein DVT List risk factors and treatment options associated with deep vein thrombosis
