This DVD is designed to discuss the value of hemodynamics in cardiac ultrasound. The lecture will review how to utilize Doppler echocardiography to assess and calculate various pressures within the heart. Case examples will demonstrate the application of appropriate criteria for accurate diagnoses of numerous hemodynamic conditions.
Target audience: Sonographers, physicians, and other medical professionals involved with performing and/or interpreting adult cardiac ultrasound examinations.

State the value of echocardiographic assessment of cardiac hemodynamics.Demonstrate the various calculations used to assess the pressures within the heart.List technical caveats that may affect accuracy when performing hemodynamic calculations.
